Life Legacy


Reidsville – Herman Williamson died Wednesday, July 25, 2012. As a native and resident of Caswell County for the majority of his life, he attended the local public schools and was a faithful member of Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where he served with the Board of Trustees. Following many years of dedicated service, he retired from the Caswell County School System, Carolina Aluminum and the farming industry. He was a member of the Caswell County NAACP. His parents, George Williamson and Lillian Brown Williamson, beloved wife, Okie Mae Pinnix Williamson; god brother, Charlie Mc Lauglin, Sr., preceded him in death. Survivors are: four sons, Rev. Thomas W. Williamson, Sr. (Pauline), Norris Kent Williamson (Deborah), Timothy Williamson (Michelle) and Raymond Williamson (Sarah); daughter, Gloria Kay Hopkins; godson, Carl Patterson; goddaughter, Carla Smith Watson (Derrick); 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; aunt, Pauline Brown; uncle, David Brown; brothers-in-law, Willie Raymond Pinnix (Flo) and Robert Pinnix (Hairlene); sisters-in-law, Alma Lee (James), Carol Motley (Wesley), Barbara Graves (Billy), Ida Pinnix and Marie Mc Laughlin; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2012 from the Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Gibsonville. The family may be contacted at 511 Graves Road.
